In March 2025, Help & Care launched a free education support camp at our Sector 16, Noida centre. Over 50 students from underprivileged families enrolled for after-school coaching in Mathematics, Science and English. Many of these children were on the verge of dropping out of school due to a lack of guidance and learning support at home.

How the Camp Was Organised

The camp ran for four weeks, six days a week, with dedicated volunteer teachers who gave their time freely. Each day was divided into two sessions - a morning batch for Class 5 to Class 7 students, and an afternoon batch for Class 8 to Class 10. Subjects covered included Mathematics, Science, English grammar, and basic computer literacy.

Students were also provided with notebooks, pens, and all required learning material at no cost. Many children arrived without basic stationery - some had never owned a geometry box or a proper notebook. Our volunteers and donors made sure every child had what they needed before the first session began.

The Impact We Saw

By the end of the four-week programme, the change in these children was visible not just in their test scores but in their confidence. Students who had barely spoken in the first week were actively answering questions and helping their classmates. Several parents came personally to thank our volunteers and share how their children had started taking their studies more seriously at home as well.

At the end of the programme, every student was assessed and those who needed further support were enrolled in our ongoing free tuition batch that runs every Saturday and Sunday. Out of 50+ students, 38 showed measurable improvement in at least two subjects. Three students from this batch were supported in securing admissions to government schools where they had previously been turned away.

Our Volunteers Made It Possible

None of this would have been possible without the 12 volunteer teachers who came in every day after their own work hours, and the donors who funded the stationery kits and learning material.
